Always a popular spot among celebrities and sports figures, players flocked to stay at EPIC during the two- week 2012 Sony Ericsson Open event. Forty-seven players stayed at the popular waterfront hotel including David Ferrer, Svetlana Kuznetsova and Jo Wilfried Tsong. Players that stayed at EPIC and also dined at Area 31 – a Kimpton restaurant serving chef-driven, ocean-inspired seafood – included Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, Feliciano Lopez and Nicolas Amalgro.
